The loss triggered a strong reaction from the Azulgrana fans, who booed and insulted the team. The discontent is also due to the team's poor start to the season: San Lorenzo has suffered three defeats in four matches of the Clausura and was eliminated from the Copa Argentina by Deportivo Riestra, the first official tournament under Gorosito's tenure.
The numbers reflect the difficult current situation of the Boedo team. In the Clausura, San Lorenzo only managed to win 1-0 against Gimnasia and Esgrima de Mendoza, while losing to Lanús, Central Córdoba, and now Huracán. The coach also responded to the criticisms from the stands and asked for support for his players. 'It's been 15 days since the start of the season; even if Pelé came, it takes time to work.
